The 2014-15 Alpaugh Scholars.

Last month, a group of CPS educators attended a Queen City Bus Tour with the Alpaugh Scholars, a select group of local educators tapped to help business leaders better understand how community issues impact schools. The program is offered through the University of Cincinnati Economics Center.

During the tour, led by Local 12 news anchor Dan Hurley, we learned about the history of Cincinnati, visited historical sites and talked about the city's economic progress.

We will meet five times this school year to discuss how education is connected to the regional ecomony, workforce development, health care, social services and local government.

Participating CPS educators are Kelly Broscheid, career technical program manager; Justin Leach, Riverview East Academy assistant principal; and Richara Richardson, Hays-Porter School resource coordinator.
