Shroder High School students put their journalism skills to use recently to cover a press conference at their school that highlighted Shroder’s status as CPS’ top site for serving breakfast to students.
The press conference announced results from the National State and Local School Breakfast Participation Studies conducted by the Food Research and Action Center (FRAC). Shroder showed a 54 percent participation rate – CPS’ highest rate – and was a major contributor to Cincinnati Public Schools’ overall percentage. CPS ranks number one in Ohio and 10th in the nation with 74.9 percent of students participating in a free breakfast program.
The students’ story, “Shroder High School Ranks #1 in CPS for Providing Free School Breakfast,” is posted on the Jagwire on Shroder’s website.
