Many staff members at the Education Center dressed in shades of red on February 6 to promote awareness of women’s heart health.

The national “Go Red for Women” campaign, now in its 12th year, focuses on educating women about heart disease, the No. 1 killer of women. Go Red encourages women to live healthier lives by learning stress management, how to prevent heart disease, and heart-healthy recipes and exercises.

The event is the first Friday in February, and CPS employees around the district wore red to show support.
